I believe that there was a problem reported related to xsl:copy-of.� The link
below suggests that someone may have opened a bug report with this.

Given the date of this post, I doubt that there is a fix already, but can
anyone point me at more details, or, if it ever got posted, the actual bug
report?

I'm encountering a similar problem, which goes away when fall back to an older
xalan version.
