Xalan servlet samples on Tomcat 2003-01-29 - By Balint Fulop
Thank you Gary, i really appreciate your support. Sorry if my question was off-topic.
I have deleted SimpleXSLTServlet.class from the testapp\WEB-INF\classes directory, and somehow I can still access it, even after a server restart, through http://localhost:8080/testapp1/servlet/servlet.SimpleXSLTServlet
There is a major goo somewhere in the system. The SimpleXSLTServler.class is not present anywhere else in the Tomcat install directory (and subdirs).
The testapp1\WEB-INF\lib directory includes: bsf.jar xalan.jar xalansamples.jar xalanservlet.jar xerceslmpl.jar xml-apis.jar
all from the Xalan package. Could it be the xalansamples file?
I am just guessing, I am really a Java analphabet. I couldn't even insert compile a HelloWolrd program after inserting your code (and trying with the code found at the Xalan FAQ site). Problem: cannot resolve symbol: class EnvironmentCheck Even though it would be interesting to see its results.
If I could only somehow get the samples going, i could do wonders with it. It is to be used on a weblog for friend of mine.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help
Balint
