Over the last week I 've been working with Toadie (a Xalan user) who had
some very serious performance degradation with a webserver using Xalan.
On an intel dual-core machine it was 10 times slowdown
Just a reminder that today end-of-day Friday November 17 2006 is code
freeze for Xalan-J 2.7.1
If you have any last minute fixes to apply to the code then today is the
day.

I got following exception while doing XPathAPI.eval using xalan 2.5.0 in
a production environment.

The Apache Xalan-J JIRA meeting justed ended and the date proposed by the
committers at that meeting for the Xalan 2.7.1 release is Monday November
27 2006.
Proposed code freeze is end of day Frid
This is just a reminder that the JIRA meeting is this coming Monday at 2 00
- 3 30 EST (Eastern Standard Time) which is today in just under two hours
